Part-Time K-2 Classroom Teacher
Position Summary:
This part-time position is primarily responsible for guiding students through the learning process during the day. This classroom position is on-site in Ashland, VA. The teacher is responsible for instruction in areas such as Language Arts, Math, History, Science, and Art using the provided curriculum, in a very small classroom environment. Responsibilities also include classroom management and lunch assistance, as well as parent communication.
Position Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 8:45am-1:30pm.
Position Requirements:
- Possess a strong willingness to allow students to learn through experience;
- Demonstrate patience with students on different educational and emotional-social levels;
- Possess ability to work with students on an individual basis, while maintaining the class, as a whole;
- Demonstrate an understanding of and patience for students with special learning needs;
- Demonstrate an attention to detail, and a flexibility in the planned learning path;
- Possess a clean background report.
